Honoring Bear’s Life & Legacy
Bjorn “Bear” Miller was more than a son, a brother, and a teammate—he was a protector, a healer, a leader, and a true cornerstone of his community. On and off the pitch, Bear embodied what it meant to show up for others. As one of the best props to ever play the game, he carried not only strength but heart, grit, and pride every time he stepped onto the field. Off the field, he was just as powerful—lifting people up, bringing laughter into every space, and making everyone feel seen, valued, and at home, especially when he would invite his friend's and family over for a meal.
Bear had a rare gift: he treated everyone like family. He never met a stranger, and his warmth, generosity, and unforgettable smile could light up any room. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation and stand beside you without question.
It is with a heavy heart that we share that Bear earned his wings on April 10th, 2026, in an unexpected accident near Fort Bragg, California.
We are reaching out to our community and our rugby family for support as we honor Bear’s memory. The financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming during this incredibly difficult time. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of Bear’s funeral and celebration of life. Any support—big or small—will make a meaningful difference. Your generosity allows us the space to grieve, to remember, and to celebrate the incredible life Bear lived.
As Bear would always say, “Props rule the world—everyone just lives here.” That was Bear—bold, loyal, and full of life.
