On January 13, we lost Amber Kay Martinez-Ellis, a force of nature, a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person, and someone whose presence made life brighter simply by being in it. Her passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving her family, friends, and loved ones reeling in the wake of a loss no one was prepared for.

Amber was pure life. Bold, wildly outgoing, and genuinely loving, she had a way of filling rooms and hearts all at once. She turned strangers into friends and made even ordinary moments unforgettable. Wherever Amber went, warmth and laughter followed.

She lived fully and fearlessly. A natural comedian with lightning-fast wit, Amber could leave people stunned and laughing in the same breath. Humor was her language, but kindness was her foundation. Amber was profoundly compassionate. She had a deep love for animals, art, music, and nature. She moved through the world with curiosity, joy, and an open heart, embracing life in all its beauty.

She was adored by her family and surrounded by an extraordinary array of friends. Amber didn’t just make friends; she built communities. Her impact is vast, and her absence is deeply felt by so many whose lives are forever changed by knowing her.

As Amber’s family navigates this unimaginable grief, we are coming together to honor her with a memorial service that reflects the fullness of her life and the depth of love surrounding her. Because she touched so many lives, we want to create a space that is welcoming, beautiful, and accessible to all who wish to attend and celebrate her.
