Hi everyone.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Jessica Ganz, and I am dear friends with Aleesia Hughes. As you all know, Aleesia has been battling brain cancer- Glioblastoma- for the past 8 years. She has beat the odds time and time again and continues to live by her motto, “ see the good in everything”.
Recently, Aleesia’s scans and symptoms have shown very progressive disease and unfortunately her options for further treatment are incredibly limited. While we have been told her time left with us is short- we want to spend her time, whatever that may be showering her, her husband, and two children with as much love and support as possible.
One of Aleesia’s greatest wishes is to spend a wonderful evening with her friends and family. We are working on making that happen by creating a living Celebration of Life.
A living Celebration of Life is a perfect opportunity for us to come together and give Aleesia and her family our love and support. During this time, we celebrate who she is and the beautiful life she continues to live in an environment that allows HER to be a part of celebrating in a positive, uplifting, and incredibly loving manner.
This celebration will be “fancy”, as she likes to call it. Dress to impress, beautiful dinner, at a local venue with some fun music and pictures. We will also have amazing opportunities for everyone to participate in gifts for Aleesia and her family for the months to come.
The majority of this beautiful event will be donated by several local companies- however we are raising money to help us with the items that will not be donated. We don’t yet know what the full cost will be, so I will adjust that up or down once I figure that out. Anything left over will be given to Aleesia and her family for anything else they may need during this continuous process.
