My name is Deonne Moore, mother of Chance Moore. Chance was the best child a mother could have. From the time of his birth, doctors promised me he would not live, but he fought and proved them wrong. At the age of 10, he experienced his first battle with cancer (Stage 4 kidney cancer); he overcame that battle. At the age of 15, he was diagnosed with a rare leukemia, for which he underwent a bone transplant. This battle was extremely hard on Chance. As a single mother, I quit my job and stopped taking clients to fully care for him. I emptied my 401k and all of my savings. He did not qualify for life insurance due to the stipulation of him being a greater liability. I paid for a policy, but due to me lying on the application, I don’t qualify for the payout to assist with funeral/memorial services for my baby. I ask the community to please help me properly celebrate my son’s life and give him a burial that he has so earned. I thank everyone who prayed for us, and I thank you for your help during this time.
