Dear friends,

If you have at all been a part of MPPC, you know Dennis Cailles and his amazing ministry. His job was not about copies, mail, or anything else Dennis managed with his usual expertise, speed and reliability. For Dennis, it was always about friendship, serving others, and serving Jesus.

Dennis served faithfully and cheerfully for almost 23 years. He transformed blank sheets of paper (often with short notice!) into the Pioneer, ministry brochures, annual reports, spiritual formation curricula, Shepherd's Village handouts...each week, on time, perfectly, without fail. He cared about who would be receiving each piece of paper and how God might use it.

Farewells are always hard, but especially so under these circumstances. Community members often don't know when staff who work behind the scenes at a church depart until it's too late to say goodbye. Many church leaders and friends who have known and loved Dennis over the years are no longer there to say goodbye and to honor his many years of service at the workplace he also considered his church home. In addition, over the years Dennis has served the church, technology and the market have greatly changed in terms of production job opportunities.
