Hello, my name is Aïssa Sara and this year marks 20 years since I underwent FGM reconstructive surgery—a deeply personal milestone in my healing journey. As I celebrate this moment, I want to give back in a way that honors not only my past but the future of others like me.

My goal?

To raise funds for 20 women to receive FGM reconstructive surgery, helping restore not just physical well-being but also dignity, confidence, and freedom.

Why this matters:

Millions of women worldwide live with the lasting trauma of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). While the physical scars are real, the emotional and psychological wounds often run deeper. Reconstructive surgery can be a life-changing step toward reclaiming one’s body, pleasure, and power.

Each surgery costs approximately £3000, which covers the procedure, post-op care, and emotional support. Your donation—no matter how small—will directly fund these surgeries and give 20 women the chance to begin their own healing journey.
