Mrs. Jones Book Scholarships for 2015 South Philadelphia High School Graduating Seniors
Dear Community Members, Friends, & Family,
My name is Mrs. Jones-Tabbs, MEd, MSR (better known to my students as Ms. Jones), & as a graduate of an HBCU, Virginia State University, I know & appreciate the value of a great education. I am writing to request your financial assistance for the purchase of creating a care package, including but not limited to backpacks/school supplies and basic hygiene items for those students who have committed to a postsecondary higher education plan. This is my first year attempting to celebrate my seniors in such a magnificent way! All Students are required to submit a completed college essay application.
My hope is that you are able to assist us in our plight and in return, we can use the fundraising monies to purchase what school supplies & toiletries that are needed to support the students as well as give them a congratulatory surprise pool party on a private, exploratory, education property in Montgomery County, PA. The money raised will go towards monetary scholarships to the recipients of the essay writing submission, the most improved student who have excelled this year, transportation to and from the high school to the surprise location (the pool party), and lastly, to provide food for the students as they are enjoying a once in a lifetime experience as their senior year concludes and the rest of their lives begin.
In order to help reach our goal, we greatly appreciate donations from the community. Any donation, great or small, will help to reach our goal to hold this function for our graduating seniors. Financial contributions are gratefully accepted here on GoFundMe.
