As my birthday approaches, I have been reflecting on the things that bring meaning and joy into my life. One of them is watching the incredible work that Unscripted Learning does every day. This nonprofit, which my husband Gary leads with so much dedication and compassion, uses improv-based programs to help individuals on the autism spectrum build confidence, communication skills, and genuine social connection. I have had the privilege of seeing how transformative these programs can be.

Students who once struggled to engage with others begin to express themselves more openly. They learn to interpret social cues, collaborate with peers, and take creative risks in a supportive environment. Families frequently share how their children have found a place where they feel understood, valued, and empowered. The growth is remarkable and the impact extends far beyond the classroom.
