Celebrating the Life of a True Light

With heavy hearts, we share the news that our beloved Trena Alston aka Da'Waitress passed away on Wednesday, September 24th at Sloan Kettering Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She fought with incredible strength and grace, and now it is our turn to honor her memory.

To know her was to love her. She was a fierce friend, a dedicated family member, and an absolute force on the basketball court. As a proud Lady Ram, she was one of the best women's basketball players New York City has ever seen—a true competitor whose talent and passion inspired everyone around her.

Now, we come together as a community to celebrate the incredible life she lived. We are raising funds to give her the beautiful and dignified celebration she deserves, honoring the joy she brought to all of us.
