Celebrate Tina Vittorio's Life and Legacy

Hi friends,

My name is Sandra Listro and I'm raising money for my mother Concetta "Tina" Vittorio's funeral and memorial expenses.

My mom was diagnosed with two very aggressive forms of cancer in June of 2024, a tumor on her pancreas and liver cancer. She immediately started aggressive chemotherapy that gave us some short-lived hope. For 6 months, the chemo had shrunk her tumor and the tentacles from the tumor stretching to her liver. Around November, she started not feeling well and by December, she was so sick she could not have chemo. The last few months have been very hard. She has not been able to receive chemo and she had a very hard time eating. 2 weeks ago, she went to the hospital with blockages in her intestines caused by the cancer. The amazing doctors at Yale New Haven did their best to remove them, but unfortunately, after 2 months without chemo, the cancer has spread. It is now pressing against her intestines and has destroyed her liver. This last Tuesday, Feb 4, the hospital discharged her and I brought her home to my house in Beacon Falls to care for her in her last days. I've watched this cancer eat away at my beautiful, vivacious mother so quickly; it is heartbreaking. My mother is the most social, outgoing, strong-willed woman I've ever known. I really thought she could beat this diagnosis, but unfortunately, the cancer invading her small body just would not let up.

I wasn't sure if I should make a GoFundMe; we are all in a difficult economic time, but if you are able to donate, our family would be very appreciative. I want to celebrate my wild child mother in a way that would make her proud.
