Celebration of La Nanthavongdouangsy's Life
Donation protected
On Sunday, January 24 at 2:07pm, we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to COVID-19. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love, support, and prayers. A special thank you to St. Agnes healthcare personnel for your efforts and hard work.
La Nanthavongdouangsy was born on February 13, 1938 at Xam Neua, Houaphan Province, Laos. She is survived by her eight children Phinh, Phop, Phy, Pawn, Noy, Kong, James, and Diana, and preceded in death by her daughter Phay.
She was a resilient, strong willed independent woman. If you had the privilege to meet one of her daughters, you will see what I’m talking about. A woman of principle and integrity, and a very distinctive voice that you can hear from a mile away. Throughout her life she made many sacrifices for her family. Family always came first to Momma La. She gave us the greatest gift of all, the gift of life and the gift of each other. Without Momma La, this huge family would not exist. We will miss her contagious loud laughter, her smile, but mostly her great sense of humor… we always sit back and hear her jokes and think, that’s where we all get it from.

Hun dee will be held at the Phimmachack’s residence at 5861 E. Erin Ave, Fresno, CA 93727 till Sunday January 31st. For the safety of our family and yours, Sout (prayers) will be held at Wat Lao Dhamma Sacca 2710 S. Fruit Ave, Fresno, CA 93706 on January 27th, 28th, & 29th at 3pm.
We understand during these times of uncertainty you’d like to pay your respect (kin taan) and cannot attend so this go fund me account was created for your convenience or DM for venmo/cashapp/paypal as well.
