Celebrate the Life of Floyd Daniel Penrod IV
Donation protected
Floyd "Daniel" Penrod IV, 36 years old, was my brother. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 2/22/25. Daniel played volleyball for Ball State University and moved to California to chase his dreams at the age of 19. We knew someone would see his talent and we were right. While coaching some girls on a volleyball team one of their mothers saw potential in him and offered him a job to work on the show House of Cards. From there he worked on so many more shows including Ballers and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Daniel had been unemployed for the last year but during that time he was able to spend his time back home in Indiana, providing care to his father. We just lost our wonderful dad in December. Daniel went to New York the next day, putting all his belongings in storage and moved back to Indiana with our mom so they could help each other. Our family is needing financial help at this time to give Daniel a beautiful Celebration of Life to honor his legacy. Tentatively taking place on 3/15/25. Any left over funds will help our family get to New York and bring his belongings home. Our mom has already lost a child to cancer at age 5, and I cannot believe she's now lost her son- 2 months apart from losing her husband. We greatly appreciate anything you are able to donate. We understand not everyone can help financial so please just pray for us or send us good vibes to find the strength to live in a world that now feels so dim without my brothers sparkle. He had such a special magic- his energy, his presence, his words. He could turn anything into gold. I know his niece Layla and nephew Jax were sure looking forward to having him around more. Our hearts are so broken- our world has collapsed. For those who knew and loved Daniel, and even if you didnt know him- keep showing up for us, checking on us, and loving us- we are going to need it. Our village was tiny but mighty and now it's even smaller ❤️ I will post details about his service once they are finalized.
