Celebrate the Life of DaVada

Hi. My name is DaLisha and I am DaVada's daughter. DaVada unexpectedly passed away on December 13th. Sorry for the delay in communication but there is a lot surrounding her death that my dad and family have been trying to work through. She had been in the hospital 3 times prior to her passing including being released only 3 hours before her going to her forever home. We are not sure what happened or why yet.

Please see below for her obituary. We will be planning a Celebration of Life for her in a couple of months to give time to plan travels etc. Those details will be coming. But I am asking of anyone is willing to donate to help put on an amazing celebration, additional support for my dad and then all extra will be donated to the Heart Center and to provide prosthetics for those in need. She always wanted to give and this would be an amazing way to honor her memory.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support,
DaLisha Verdeyen & Family

On Monday, December 13, 2021, DaVada Dee Garling, an amazing and loving Daughter, Wife, Mother and Abuela, went to be with her Lord at the age of 61.

DaVada was born on September, 3, 1960 in Denver, Colorado to Daniel and Mary (Rivera) Percell. She grew up primarily in Loveland and Berthoud. On May 20th, 1990, she officially married the love of her life and best friend, Stephen Garling . They had already been raising their daughter, DaLisha Garling-Verdeyen. They had been together for 42 years and she was so, over the moon, proud of that.

DaVada had a passion for giving and loving everyone and anyone that came into her path. She loved to write poems and bead. More recently beading snowflakes with her granddaughter. She was known for her infectious smile, contagious laugh and compassionate spirit. The amount of lives she touched is unbelievable and we are all grateful to have had her in our lives. She had a gift of lighting the room up everywhere she went. She was also quite the jokester.

She loved her Wizard of Oz, red glass, angels, frogs, playing board and card games but most of all, her love for God, her family, her friends, and her granddaughter.

She also had a passion for her dogs and all dogs. The 2 dogs, Iggy Pop and Doh’Bee, that she loved with all her heart, she has now joined and we can only imagine all the kisses and love they are giving her.

DaVada was preceded in death by her father, Daniel. She is survived by her mother, Mary, her husband Stephen, daughter DaLisha (Husband Melvin) and granddaughter Kailee. She is also survived by her siblings, Dyved Percell, Daaron Percell and Daneille (Husband Jerry) Caldwell.

We will be having a celebration of life at a later date in or near Loveland, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted. They will help with the Celebration of Her Life then all the left over is going to be donated to The Heart Center and for the availability of Prosthetics. Details coming….
