Charles unexpected passing several weeks ago left a void in many of our hearts. We lost a wonderful human being and a gentle soul. Charles was the brother and friend that many of us were fortunate to have in our lifetime. He was there to prep us for our upcoming job interview, to listen to your challenges without judgment, to share excerpts from the many books he read throughout his lifetime, to tell dry jokes, to lament over bottomless cups of coffee about politics. He cloaked himself in history and became the voice of the unspoken. Although Charles was an only child, he leaves behind many brothers and sisters in spirit.
