Help Chads Daughters say Goodbye

Donation protected
It is with immense sadness that we share the news of the passing of a true hero, Chad William Wiseman of Gibsons, British Columbia and a previous long-time resident and community member of Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.

In January, Chad lost his battle with AML leukemia…a battle he had fought bravely for many years.

Chad lived his life as a caring first responder in every sense of the phrase, and those of us who were blessed to have known or been rescued by Chad, or even better still - both…know this to be true. Chad was inspired wholeheartedly to charge into any battle and continue to soldier on by his great love for his family, whether you were his family by blood or his family by his choice. Those who fought side-by-side with Chad as UN Peacekeepers or Canadian Infantrymen; as Paratroopers in the Airborne Regiment or as a Submariner with him in Halifax when he served as a petty officer on one of the many East Coast Canadian naval ships; or as paramedics with EHS in Lunenburg County; or as a fellow firefighter in the Blockhouse, or Luneburg Volunteer Fire Department…all know that this was Chad through and through. He would take on any fight to protect his family, his friends, and those who battled alongside him as brothers-in-arms to make this world, our world a better place.

Chads greatest love was for his family. His daughters Victoria and Courtney Wiseman and his grandchildren Carter Christopher and Cassidy, his mum, his sister and his wife were his greatest inspiration to keep fighting. And because of this we know he would want his entire family, from both sides of the country to be together, united as one to support each other in their grief at his Fireside Finale in Gibsons Landing British Columbia at the end of April. His daughters and grandchildren are on the east coast and desperately want to join their grandmother and aunt, along with Chad’s wife in British Columbia to celebrate his life and say their final farewell. Sadly, Victoria and Courtney are not in a position to be able to afford to fly to BC, and this is why we are asking for your support…to find it in your hearts to help them raise the money they need to say goodbye to their dad.

Any help you can give towards the cost of flights, ferries, car rental, food and accommodation would be appreciated beyond words and done by simply following the link below to donate, if you can't donate simply sharing the link will help as well.

United we celebrate Chad…we are all better, stronger, braver and funnier for having known him and we are forever grateful for him… his love, his laughs, his fierce determination and even his lectures…and most of all for sharing his ever-changing adventure we call life with each of us.

Thank you in advance for any support you can give…it is truly, deeply appreciated.
