David Simpson (AKA SuperDave) was one of the most enthusiastic riders any of us had the pleasure of riding with. His laughter echoed through the woods of Fountainhead, Wakefield and Lake Fairfax as he hooted & hollered down the trails we know and love. When he passed away on August 18, 2023, the community lost a tremendous source of joy & support for NoVA mountain biking.

Your donation will fund a memorial bench & plaque on the black loop at Fountainhead. Additional funds will be donated to MORE, to support the sport we love as David always did. MORE is the premier mountain biking and trail-building advocacy club in the Mid-Atlantic region of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. MORE’s mission is to build an inclusive mountain biking community and to increase access to natural-surface trails throughout the region for all riders.
