Celebrate Skylar's Life and Legacy

Hello friends and family,

My name is Emily and I am creating this page to help the amazing and incredible Arterburn family navigate through a very tough time. On Sunday, January 25th, Skylar Arterburn suffered a stroke. She was taken to Denver Health where she received excellent care before being transported to UCHealth's specialist stroke unit. When she arrived, she went through several scans and procedures to diagnose the severity and the cause of the stroke. Unfortunately, the severity was tremendous, and the cause remains unsolved. Knowing her wishes ahead of time due to previous discussions, Skylar's family made the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life support, despite the heroic and compassionate care she received at UCHealth and she passed on January 30, 2025. Everyone who knew Skylar knew of her infectious smile and laugh, and she was a blessing to any and everyone she crossed paths with. Her dark sense of humor brought levity to difficult situations, including the day she passed on. I want to share this with Skylars' friends and loved ones so that they may show their support during this time. Please know that there is no obligation to contribute, but if you feel moved to do so, this page is simply an outlet for those who wish to offer their condolences during this time. Any proceeds left over will be donated to one of the many charities and foundations (Easter Seals, National Wheelchair Basketball Association, Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance, etc.) who has helped the Arterburn family throughout Skylar's life. Information regarding services will be released at a future date. Thank you all for contributing to the beautiful life Skylar had.
