Celebrate Shawnda's Life with Your Support

Hello Warriors for Shawnda,

My name is Melchora Alexander, or as the Wilkinson kids call me, Auntie M, or as Shawnda called me, Sis. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Shawnda’s unexpected passing on Friday, July 19, 2024. As her family gathers to mourn the loss of their beloved mother, grandmother “LUVIE”, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, we are deeply affected by the suddenness of her departure.

Shawnda was a vibrant force—her laughter, strength, and comedic spirit brought joy to everyone around her. While we struggle with her absence, I find solace in imagining her spreading her charm where she now is.

To support Shawnda’s family during this difficult time, I am setting up this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with funeral costs and other expenses such as medical cost. Let us honor Shawnda by coming together as her #ShawndaStrong community  and giving her a celebration of life that she would have appreciated.

Donations will be deposited into her eldest daughter Brooklyn’s account, which is why the location indicates Ohio. The details of the funeral, to be held in Maryland, will be shared soon.
