Celebrate Shamel Richmond's Life with Your Help

Hi All,

My name is Theresa Demby of The Philadelphia Zoo. I'm setting up this GoFundMe account on behalf of Shamel Richmond, who's been employed with the Philadelphia Zoo for 2 years.

It is with saddened hearts we regret to inform you of the passing of one of our own here at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Unfortunately, Shamel passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Shamel will be missed greatly but remembered always for her infectious smile and her ability to make others smile. She loved her job as a Garden Service Attendant and took great pride in her work. She loved her family & friends and wasn't afraid to tell you even if it was 100 times a day (smile).

Please help us reach our goal of $500.00 to send support to her family at this time. These funds will be given directly to her family to help with celebrating Shamel Richmond's life and all that she has given and meant to us all.
