Celebrate Ryan Turrell's Life: Support His Family

Our friend, Ryan Turrell, recently passed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Ryan was an all-around stand-up man who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind a community of people who love him.

I met Ryan in 2010, when I got to my unit after basic training. I will never forget the instant kindness and inclusiveness he extended to me. From there, he became a constant in my life, even if from a distance. Dan has known him even longer, and he has described Ryan as being the brother he never had and credits him for saving his life overseas. Ryan was a selfless and fearless leader and truly cared about the people around him.

Since learning of his passing, I've seen so many people from all across his lifetime reaching out with stories and compliments of the life Ryan lived. He impacted so many lives in a positive way and made life better for just knowing him.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help his kids and family with funeral expenses, and any other costs that may come with taking care of Ryan's final chapter on Earth. Ryan lived in Idaho at the time of his passing, and his kids and plenty of friends and family are still in DFW. I would love to raise enough money for Trenton and Rylie to not have to worry about anything but celebrating their father's life with all of those who loved him.
