Celebrate Rob's Life: Memorial and Cremation Fund

Hi everyone... I think all of you know me and know that this is something that is very hard to do. I kept telling myself that I didn't need any help, that I could make it happen, but I see now that financially I won't be able to. As all of you probably know, we unexpectedly lost my son Rob on June 3rd, 2025. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer last year. His lungs were severely damaged by the time they found it. After having radiation and chemo treatments and fighting a long, hard battle, he was told the cancer was in remission in December 2024. On Tuesday, June 3rd, Rob sent me a text saying he was spitting up blood. I told him to go to the ER or call 911. He went to the ER, and they said his white blood count was too high and he had the flu. At 6:51, he sent me a text that they were transporting him to McLaren Hospital in Pontiac. The last time I heard from Rob was at 7:16 pm. He told me he loved me and to get some sleep; he said he would let me know how things were going with him. Rob passed away at about 10:41 pm. The doctor said they had him stabilized, but an artery in his lungs ruptured, causing his lungs to fill with blood. They were unable to resuscitate him. Rob was only 58 years old and should have had a lot of years left to live, but none of us know our destiny or when it will be our time to go.

I would like to have a Celebration of Life Memorial for Rob so all his family and friends can get together to express memories and good times that were shared with Rob. I also want to cover Rob's cremation expense. My son paid for Rob's cremation because it had to be paid for upfront, and I didn't have any funds to help. I have missed work quite a bit lately due to medical issues. As the head of the family, it should be my responsibility, not my son's, to cover any expenses, and I would like to be able to reimburse him. In April, my son lost his father, and he covered all the expenses for his dad's cremation and memorial. Last August, we lost my daughter Laura, so it has been a very long, hard, emotional, and financial road to travel.

Please know that anything you decide to donate will be used for the cremation, an urn, and the memorial. Anything over and above what is needed will be donated to a local charity. Any amount raised will help, and if you aren't able to donate, do not feel bad. I understand and still love you all. I do ask one thing: will all of you please say a prayer for us? I feel so empty and broken I can't cry anymore. I just feel dried up and have a huge hole in my heart. I don't understand why I have lost 3 of my children, but I am old and still here First there were 5, and now there are 2 . I truly pray that none of you ever have to experience this kind of loss. I also want to thank everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers ❤️ they mean more than you know. Love to all ❤️ Viv
