Celebrate Rick's Life: Support His Memorial

Rick always said we had a unique story. We met through work and for years we were just friends. Fast forward, I move to Florida from Texas and in 2 weeks we got married 4/20/19. The unique part is all those years we only spent 11 days together. I knew he was the love of my life the moment I saw him in person for the first time! We spent all our time together. When covid shut everything down, we were together 24/7 and couldn't have been happier together! That continued until October 12, 2024. Rick had not been feeling well the night before and not slept well. That morning, he was having trouble getting comfortable enough to rest and asked me to lay with him and scratch his back, of course I did. He then told me, I love you sweetheart, and I replied, I love you too babe. Shortly thereafter he lost consciousness, and I frantically dialed 911. I dragged him to the floor and performed CPR until paramedics arrived to take over. After being in the hospital waiting room for what seemed like hours and after 2 code blues, the nurse came to get me, took me into a room and delivered the worst news a wife could hear...we did everything we could, but he didn't make it. That was the day my world stopped, and I can't fathom my life without Rick. He was my best friend, my partner in crime and the love of my life and his absence is crushing. Thank you for donating.
