Celebrate Reggie Reed's Life with Love

Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues,

We’re deeply saddened to share that we lost Reggie Reed on Monday, May 26th—Memorial Day—after a fierce and fearless battle with cancer that he simply could not win.

Reggie grew up in Altadena, CA—a curious, driven, sharp-witted smart aleck with a dry sense of humor and good looks for days (years, really). Just weeks ago, he was still reminding his doctors, deadpan, that he was “still sexy.”

In his 56 short years, Reggie lived life to the fullest—boldly, joyfully, and always on his own terms. He was spontaneous, endlessly curious, and eager to learn from the world and its people. He traveled whenever he could, making new friends wherever he went. If you’re reading this, chances are you were lucky enough to be one of them.

He was a proud Teamster, driving for Quixote for over 15 years. His “Production Rig” took him to far reaching locations and introduced him to his Teamster family and later, his unrelenting partner, Brenna Bash. He dreamed of retiring in Spain, playing his guitar, and enjoying tapas with the locals.

Reggie passed away surrounded by love, cared for by the amazing Brenna—the newest member of our tribe—who is helping manage his final affairs.

While we each grieve in our own way, one thing’s for sure: Reggie wouldn’t want us to be weighed down by sorrow. True to form, one of his final requests was to go out with a bang—a life celebration MC’d by Rakim. Of course it was! We’ll do our best to live up to his vision.

Many of you have asked how you can help. Here are two ways:

1. Give. Reggie’s loved ones, especially his only daughter, Yasmin, could really use our support right now.

2. Show up. Come to his Life Celebration and share your best “Reg” story.

We’ve created a GoFundMe for those who would like to contribute in any way they can. Every donation means so much during this difficult time.

SAVE the DATE: Sunday, June 22nd (Reggie’s Birthday) – We’ll be throwing the celebration of a lifetime, just how he wanted it. Thank you for your love, kindness, and support.
