As proud facilitators of the First-Generation and/or Low-Income (FLI) Program at Pomona College, we are reaching out with a special request to help us raise $2,000 to cover the cost of graduation stoles for our FLI seniors.
At Pomona, our FLI Program has been a pillar of support for students who are the first in their families to attend college and/or come from low-income backgrounds. These students have demonstrated extraordinary resilience, determination, and hard work to reach this milestone. As we prepare to celebrate their achievements this May, we want to ensure that each FLI senior can proudly wear a graduation stole—a symbol of their journey and accomplishments.
Unfortunately, due to departmental and administrative funding constraints, we are raising the funds ourselves to make this happen. Our goal is to raise $2,000 to purchase high-quality graduation stoles for our seniors. These stoles represent more than just an accessory; they are a badge of honor, perseverance, and community that will inspire future generations of Pomona FLI students.
We deeply appreciate any contribution, big or small, to help us reach our goal. If you’re unable to donate directly, sharing our campaign with others would make a meaningful difference in ensuring that every Pomona FLI graduate can walk across the stage with pride.
Thank you for your support in celebrating and uplifting our first-generation students at Pomona College. Together, we can honor their achievements and send them into the world with the recognition they deserve.
