Hi Everyone,

On behalf of myself, Troy Roane, and Chris Greene, I wanted to take this unfortunate opportunity to establish a GoFundMe for one of the greatest human beings I have ever known. Garfield "Pepper" Lawson was the definition of a great man and in the 53+ years since first meeting him as a fellow student at Mrs. Alice Moores' preschool, I can honestly say he was a true friend and brother till the end. Pep was a dedicated husband, a dedicated father, and probably the most dedicated grandfather ever. His phone calls were never to complain about his health or how tough life was, but rather to celebrate his granddaughter. You could honestly feel his joy through the phone.

As many of you know, Pep leaves behind his daughter Alicia and his granddaughter Nahla. Life is difficult, but even more so after the death of a loved one, so taking the medical burden off of his daughter is important. Please give what you can and lets celebrate a great man.
