UPDATE 3/21/25: WOW!! We are speechless and over-joyed at the response from everyone! It truly shows how much she is loved.

As you can see, we exceeded our goal plus we also have other cash and check contributions to add. We will be donating the excess funds to cover the material to make Shoup Park entrance to the Redwood Grove more handicapped accessible. It is currently dirt with a relatively high step up which is impossible to move a wheelchair over without help and very difficult for strollers.

Hi, it's Bonnie! As you know, we are looking to honor our amazing Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grand (and Great) Grandmother, Aunt and Friend, Pat Densmore, for her 100th Birthday, with a Memorial Bench in her Honor to be located at Shoup Park in Los Altos, California.

The photos are one of the two locations in the park we are hoping to replace with a new bench in her honor. She loves watching the children and families so much, and of course just being outdoors among nature with the beautiful redwoods and other trees, is one of her favorite things to do and places to be in the whole world.

The cost of the 8 foot bench is $3,500 and the inscription on the plaque would read something along the lines of:

In Honor of Patricia Densmore,

from her loving Family and Friends

for her 100th Birthday.

I'm not sure all of this wording will fit but it will have Pat's name and from her Family and Friends at the very least.

We are not expecting anything as we would pay for this on our own, but felt that contributions from the people she loves most would mean more to her than just coming from us. We will take care of any additional amount needed if we don't reach our goal to ensure that we can secure the bench.

I hope you how much you all have meant to Pat over the years. The memories are fading but she truly cares about each and every one of you and will be very touched by your participation with this gift to her.
