I, as one of the coaches for the Orono High School boys tennis team, have started this GoFundMe on behalf of a group of kids and coaching staff who have spent their time not just honing their tennis game, but becoming good people. They've worked hard during the season and continue to play and practice even after our season has ended. These are kids who you'd find at the courts playing on weekends and hours after practice every day. They lived tennis.

They say the third time's a charm. After winning the Northern Maine Championship the previous 2 years and then coming up short vs. Waynflete in the state matchup, this group was able to get the payoff for their hard work, positive mindset, hours researching the competition, and support of each other. This third time, their passion for tennis and the team pushed them to become the first team in 16 years to beat Waynflete and earn the state title where they were dubbed "The Streakbreakers" as they received their plaque. Additionally, they are the first team in Orono High School history to win a state championship in tennis.
