In Loving Memory of Catherine “Nips” Holahan

Help us honor a life lived with heart, humor, and friendship.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Catherine “Nips” Holahan on April 29th.

Known to many in the horse show world, Nips spent decades contributing to the industry she loved—from her beginnings as a groom to co-owning Ann K. Hubbard’s Tack Shop with her twin sister, Clare. Her sharp wit, incredible stories, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Nips had underlying health conditions, but her death was unexpected. She had returned home from a minor procedure and passed overnight, a shock to everyone.

We are raising funds for her burial and a celebration of life,

which will be held in June at The Shanty in Wadsworth, IL

Clare, her twin, in desperate need of knee and shoulder surgery, has been living in a rehabilitation facility for the past 3 years and now faces the emotional weight of life without Nips and the financial burden of losing her sister's income.

Any additional funds raised will go toward Clare’s care and ongoing needs !
