Celebrate Nick's Life with Skate Like a Girl

Tax deductible
I lost my brother, Nick, when he was only 14 years old. He had a genetic, undetected heart disorder. Not even a week after he turned 14, his heart was workin' overtime to do that whole puberty thing and after a day of long boarding with his friends, he passed peacefully in his sleep at his grandmother's house. I am so grateful that he had no fear and no pain but the sudden and completely unexpected loss of my amazing kid brother was earth shattering. I miss him so damn much.

This year marks one year past him being gone longer than he was here. He would have been 30 this year. In honor of his love of skating, I'm collecting donations for Skate Like a Girl. It's a local non-profit promoting confidence, leadership, and social justice through skateboarding. Nick was here for a short time but his love and laughter created ripples in the lives of everyone he knew, and I want to pass on that joy to the kickass skaters he would have supported.
