Honoring Nancy Aberg: A Life of Grace, Grit, and God
Nancy Aberg was the kind of woman you don’t forget — full of quiet strength, grounded faith, and a wild, adventurous heart. She lived life on her own terms — with boots on the ranch, gold dust on her hands, and the sound of waves forever calling her back to the sea.
She was married for over 40 years and built a legacy of resilience and loyalty. She shared a close bond with her daughter, found joy in her grandchildren, and made lasting memories on wild adventures with her nephew — especially those that involved gold prospecting and chasing stories only the mountains or oceans could tell.
Nancy was known and loved across many circles. She raised both champion Arabian horses and Jack Russells with pride and was deeply connected to nature — where she found her peace and her Creator.
Her quiet but unwavering faith was often lived out through the beauty of creation, the rhythm of the ranch, and the community she found among her church friends, who supported her through both joyful and challenging seasons.
She was also a fierce adventurer — a world-traveling scuba diver, a passionate member of the gold mining community, and someone who made fast friends with anyone who shared her love of the outdoors and the thrill of the unknown.
Whether you met her on a dive boat, a riverbank, a church pew, or a horse pasture, or with a dog by her side — you met someone who lived deeply and meant what she said.
Even when dementia touched her final chapter, it never stole her essence. That spark — that faith, strength, and fearless spirit — never faded.
We will be holding a memorial service on May 24th to celebrate her life. Later, in true Nancy fashion, we’ll return her ashes to the Pacific Ocean — a place she loved, explored, and always felt at home.
We’re raising funds to cover her final arrangements and to honor her the way she lived — with strength, dignity, and heart. If you knew Nancy — through family, dogs, horses, church, scuba diving, or gold mining — your support means the world.
This isn’t just a goodbye. It’s a celebration of a woman who lived boldly, walked with God, and left a legacy of freedom, faith, and fierce independence.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” – Proverbs 31:25
Thank you for helping us honor the incredible life of my mom, Nancy Aberg.
