Tax deductible
Hello Friends and Furmily!
It's my birthday soon. Can you believe I'm 23 already?
This year, I am organizing a donation fund to Lear's Legacy Cat Rescue. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I love working with this organization and knows how much this rescue means to me. It was started almost a year ago by some of my college friends, and has been doing diligent work to adopt out amazing kitties (Like Void, Skittles, and even Poet, who I fostered over this past year!)
I'm turning 23, so my goal is $2300. I regularly get around a hundred views per post on instagram, so I think this is doable, if a bit of a stretch, before my birthday, but we'll see! My friend Sarah, who is a founder at lear's, has this to say about my goal.
"For reference, the average cat’s vetting costs us $200. This is slightly inflated to account for occasional emergencies (examples: Uno is having eye surgery, Suki is having a tooth extraction, and Bailey just went to the vet for a sick visit).
So $2.3k would cover roughly a dozen cats!! And since adoption fees help us recover money spent on vetting, it’s really more than a dozen cats. More like, we can increase our cat capacity by a dozen cats and maintain it there."
We are in the thick of kitten season. There are so many cats who need help that we cannot assist due to funding limitations. Help us get there!!! And then you don't have to buy me a birthday present! Win win!
Thanks for reading, thanks for donating, and I cannot wait to share more cat pictures over the course of the next year!!!
