Celebrate Mrs. Ruth W. Lee's Life and Impact
Donation protected
This fundraiser is being conducted in the memory of Mrs. Ruth W. Lee. Mrs. Lee was born and raised in Cove, Arizona. She began school at Cove Day School and soon left home to attend an indian residential school in Oklahoma, which she attended up until 8th grade. She worked in Kansas for many years before ultimately working for Red Rock Day School for 41 years. She retired, but later return to work for the Red Valley Senior Center for 10 years. Throughout her long life, she has touched many lives through her strong Christian beliefs, compassion, and fierce love for her family. Being an avid sports fan, more than not she would end up cheering for both teams. She loved to sit and joke with her siblings about times past. She was a caring wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great-grandma. Her cooking was memorable for the creation of countless meals filled with tasty goodness, especially her yeast bread. She was a constant quilter well-known in the Four Corners area for her school-mascot, athletic inspired blankets. Her body could not contain her spirit, in that her actions mirrored not limiting herself to doing only "woman's work" but going head first into lifting, hauling, and working in men dominated tasks.
