We need help with Mike's final expenses

Donation protected
This go fund was originally for my ex husbands final expenses, but our family is going through much, much more. On April 23 rd my beautiful granddaughter Elli was born, a few days later my daughter summer was rushed to the Er by ambulance with a life-threatening threatening infection that had gone septic and was admitted for a few days. I was trying to hold down everything at her house with the baby. She was released and came home, however baby Elli was just never settled, she cried and cried. Summers infection has slowly started coming back and the we got devasting news that my ex husband, summers dad passed away very unexpectedly. So we started this fund raiser to help with his final costs since none of us have been able to work since all of this started. Then my dad has terminal cancer and has stopped all life saving treatments because he is going down hill quickly. Now baby Elli has been termed as failure to thrive and my daughters at urgent care with her as I write this, my daughter herself needs to be in the hospital for her infection, but she's to concerned with Ellis health. None of us have any savings left, no money coming in as none of us has been able to work for a few weeks, ive been traveling 70 miles almost daily to help with the baby, our family is in crisis and really need any help right now. This is from the bottom of my heart. It's sad in this trying time I can't put all of my energy into taking care of my daughter and granddaughter and that I'm basically having to beg for money to get my family through this seemingly never ending crisis. I never in a million years thought our family would be in a situation like this. I can assure you any money raised will be used to get us through this, gas for our cars to get us back and forth, phone bills, utilities, and hopefully money towards Mike's final expenses. I didn't want to start another go fund me, so ai lve combined the 2. If you do donate, you are more then welcome to specify if the money should go towards Mike's final expenses or to summer and baby Elli. I am at a total loss of what to do right now. Im the mom,I feel like Im failing my kids and grandkids right now by not being able to carry them through all of this financially. I don't know where to turn for help other then this. Thank you everyone.
In Loving Memory of Mike Duncan
December 22nd, 1972 – May 1st, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike Duncan— Father, Grandfather, and Friend; Who's personality was as bold as his voice. Mike was truly one of a kind: Loud, full of life, and never afraid to be himself. Whether he was belting out “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” at karaoke (often taking home the prize), or reciting every word of Disney’s Aladdin, to make his kids laugh. Mike brought energy and color to every room he entered.
Born December 22nd, 1972, Mike started his life journey in the Pacific Northwest. He married Shayna Smith in 1994, and they had three beautiful children—Summer, 28, James, 27, and Michael, 25. He was a proud grandfather to Evelyn, 23 months, Michael, 18 months, Elliana, 2 weeks, and step-granddaughter Aurora, 5. His family meant everything to him.
Mike worked as a diesel mechanic for trucks and trailers, spending several years at the Albina Rail Yard. He was a man of hard work, but always remained a kid at heart. In his younger days, when he and Shayna were dating, he’d always play “Forever Young” by Alphaville—the song that came to symbolize their bond and the youthful spirit Mike never lost.
He could recite Shel Silverstein’s Sarah Sylvia Cynthia Stout poem with perfect flair and was known for his boisterous laugh, his big personality, and his deep desire to be loved—and he was, by so many.
As we mourn the loss of someone so unforgettable, we’re reaching out for help. If you are able, please consider donating to assist the family with funeral expenses and to give Mike the celebration of life he deserves. No amount is too small, and every gift is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
Mike may be gone, but his voice, his laughter, and his colorful presence will echo forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
