Our beloved Melvin Bahamundi is now resting in peace. On Sunday morning, October 19th, he passed peacefully in his sleep at home. This fundraiser is to cover the cost of his funeral.

Melvin was born on March 12, 1946 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, he moved to the Bronx in 1958. Everyone who had the pleasure of getting to know him fell in love with his quick wit and humor. He became the crazy uncle you never knew you had to have. To know Melvin was to feel unconditional love and acceptance. For the past several years, Melvin faced multiple health challenges. He lived with his nephew, Angel, who would care for him. Within the last year his condition worsened. His niece, Margie, moved back to New York City to assist her brother in caring for Melvin. As he progressively declined and faced frustration, he remained surrounded by loved ones. Melvin’s spirit will stay alive within all those that knew him.
