Our names are Corbin Monge, Marco Anello, and Everett Wong, and we're organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Nocturne Teas and the friends and family of McKenzie “Cheese” Jones.

Late on the night of November 2nd, McKenzie was in a devastating motorcycle accident. She was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and placed on life support. Despite every effort from her doctors, the damage was too extensive, and her family will soon face the unthinkable.

Cheese was part of the heart and soul of anywhere she went — her laughter, warmth, and energy brought joy to her friends, family, and the kava community as a whole. She had a rare gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel like family. Her absence will be felt by all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

This fundraiser will help her sister Ariel Burden cover funeral and cremation expenses, and help us at create a lasting memorial to display for loved ones to visit, and a celebration of her life. The memorial will be held at Nocturne, where we’ll gather to share stories, photos, and music in her honor — the way she would’ve wanted: surrounded by friends, with laughter and love.
