Celebrate Laura Buwalda's Life with Us

Dear friends and family,

My name is Tiffany, and along with my sister, we are coming together to honor and celebrate the life of our beautiful mother, Laura Lee Buwalda. She was also known as “No Shoes,” “Mama Buwalda,” and her favorite name “Grandma". She passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025, at the age of 69.

Many of you have reached out, asking how you can help, and we are truly touched by your kindness. In response, we’ve created this fund to help cover the expenses for the celebration of her life—things like flowers, meal preparations, and other details that will make this day special.

Please know that any contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated and will mean so much to us. Your love, support, and generosity during this time have been a great comfort, and we are so grateful to have you all by our side.

Thank you for being a part of this meaningful celebration. One of her wishes was for everyone to embrace vibrant, colorful attire—whatever made them feel joyful and comfortable—for her celebration of life. She wished for no one to wear black.
