Los Angeles A to Z – A Recording Project by Taro Wayama

Hello friends, family, and supporters of the arts,

My name is Taro Wayama, and I’m a classical guitarist and composer based in Los Angeles. I’m currently raising funds to professionally record an original piece I composed titled “Los Angeles A to Z.”

This unique work is written for spoken word, guitar, and percussion, and features text by Mike “the Poet” Sonksen, a celebrated LA-based poet and cultural historian. I composed the music to accompany Mike’s dynamic and heartfelt tribute to the city, blending rhythmic storytelling with rich instrumental textures.

What the Funds Will Support

To bring this project to life at a professional level, I’m raising funds to cover:

Compensation for the musicians (spoken word artist, percussionist, guitarist)

Recording engineer, studio time, mixing, and mastering

✈️ Travel expenses related to recording sessions

Post-production and release/distribution costs
