Celebrate Kim Johnson's life: Kids In Need Foundation
Donation protected
It is with the deepest sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our incredible mother, grandmother, and sister, Kimberly “Kim” Johnson (Pearson), who left us on December 16th, 2024 at the age of 58 due to natural causes.
In lieu of flowers and as a loving memory of Kim, we are starting a fundraiser to benefit the lives of children. If you wish to donate we will be sharing Kim's memory with the Kids In Need Foundation at https://www.kinf.org/
Kim was born on February 11th, 1966, in New Hope, Minnesota. She was the youngest of four and the prized daughter of Albin “Al” and Carole Pearson. Her life has long been defined by a larger-than-life love and unparalleled support for her family. Kim dedicated her life to children as an early childhood education provider, touching many lives through the years. We celebrate her life knowing the world might just be a little better, and the universe a little brighter, because of the difference she made in a child's life. As a friend, she loved many very deeply regardless of the distance and time between them. Over her life, Pequot Lakes became her comfort home away from home. She enjoyed her weekend trips “up north” to be with her loved ones.
As a mother and grandmother, her kids and grandson were her entire world. Not only did Kim wear her heart on her sleeve, she always gave unwavering support and encouragement. Whether it was a stubborn acceptance or an overjoyed celebration of something small, she always gave her kids space to talk, experiment, fail, learn, and grow. Kim was always providing her ear for listening and a warm comforting hug to soothe all worries. Her selfless spirit showed through as she gladly met others' needs before her own.
