In loving memory of Katie Drahn

Hi, my name is Amy.

Katie Drahn (Recker) was one of my oldest and dearest friends. Katie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age which progressed to renal failure requiring a kidney and pancreas transplant. After so much fighting, many surgeries, and lots of medications, Katie's body grew too tired. In the early morning of April 28, 2025, her fight ended.

Katie had a good, kind heart. She was easy to love and if you were fortunate enough to know her love in return, you'd know how passionately she cared. How hard she loved. Katie stayed in this world as long as she possibly could for her 2 beautiful sons, Micheal and Landon, and her loving and incredibly dedicated husband Jon.

No amount of money can heal the pain or make this easy in any way for Katie's family, but the burden of finances and funeral costs should not overshadow what fierce, bold, strong woman Katie was. It should not be louder than our celebration of her life.
