My name is Noellee, one of Kai's adopted daughters. He passed away on October 10, 2025 at the young age of 56.

Kai was a light in every room he entered: funny, kindhearted, and effortlessly genuine. He had a rare gift for making people laugh and feel at ease, often turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Whether through his quick wit or his warm smile, Kai made sure those around him always felt seen and cared for.

At Oneup Bar, where he worked and built a second family, Kai touched countless lives. His presence brought people together, not just as customers or coworkers, but as friends. To know Kai was to love him, and to be loved by him was something truly special.

Though his time with us was far too short, Kai’s laughter, kindness, and spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone he met. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of the Cook family, and his extended family. The funds raised from this GoFundMe will go towards cremation costs, memorial costs, help the family in this difficult time and any other unexpected expenses.
