This is my father, Jose Cortez. He was born in 1931 and received his heavenly reward at 94 years of age, on June 4th, 2025.

Jose Cortez began his lifelong journey of ministry and faith, and evangelism in the 1960s to provide spiritual support and help to the homeless. In the 70s, Jose took part in the Christian coffee house movement, helping bring the message of Christ to the youth. In the 1980s, Jose was called to plant a new church. They started services in the garage, then developed a new sanctuary on the property where they held Sunday school and church services. As Jose entered his later years and retired from the ministry, God blessed him with many more years.
