Hi everyone, my name is Julianna Velasquez Lemus. I am raising funds for my mother Mrs. Ana Velasquez. She lost her husband on Saturday the 8th of February 2025. We want to honor his life and have a beautiful funeral and memorial service to commemorate my father.

Mr. Jorge Velasquez is deeply loved and missed. He lived his life glorifying God and serving his community. He loved reading and studying biblical scriptures. He planned on getting his Master's degree in theology and getting a pastoral license in 2025. He loved with all his heart <3

Jorge Velasquez was born on 12/14/1969 in Santa Rosa de Lima, La Union, El Salvador. He was the youngest of 4 siblings. He grew up during the Salvadoran Civil War. He was aware of injustice from a young age and studied law (1993 -1998) in San Salvador, El Salvador. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1999 to earn money for his expecting wife and future daughter (Julianna Velasquez). He then started his journey of service and impacted many lives throughout the United States. He passed away in Richmond, Va surrounded by loved ones and friends. He suffered cardiac arrest. He was a very resilient man. He left behind a Widow, Ana Velasquez, his mother Blanca Velasquez, 2 older brothers, and his beloved children.

My father enjoyed driving. He drove cross-country with his family from California to Virginia using a physical map. He loved history, western films, and vanilla ice cream. He was a wonderful public speaker, teacher, mentor, and father. His bright smile and wacky jokes will be missed.

Thank you, everyone, for your support, words of encouragement, prayers, and donations. We are grateful for the love that has poured in through the community. There is beauty in seeing people come together and mourn with me and my family.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

for his name’s sake.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Julianna Velasquez Lemus. Estoy recaudando fondos para mi madre la Sra. Ana Velasquez. Ella perdió a su esposo el sábado 8 de febrero de 2025. Queremos honrar su vida y tener un hermoso funeral y servicio conmemorativo para conmemorar a mi padre.

El Sr. Jorge Velasquez es profundamente amado y extrañado. Vivió su vida glorificando a Dios y sirviendo a su comunidad. Le encantaba leer y estudiar las escrituras bíblicas. Planeaba obtener su maestría en teología y obtener una licencia pastoral en 2025. Amaba con todo su corazón <3

Jorge Velásquez nació el 14/12/1969 en Santa Rosa de Lima, La Unión, El Salvador. Era el menor de 4 hermanos. Creció durante la guerra civil salvadoreña. Desde muy joven fue consciente de la injusticia y estudió Derecho (1993 -1998) en San Salvador, El Salvador. En 1999 se trasladó a Los Ángeles, California, para ganar dinero para su futura esposa e hija (Julianna Velasquez). Entonces comenzó su viaje de servicio e impactó muchas vidas a través de los Estados Unidos. Falleció en Richmond, Virginia, rodeado de sus seres queridos y amigos. Sufrió un paro cardíaco. Era un hombre muy fuerte. Dejó una viuda, Ana Velasquez, su madre Blanca Velasquez, 2 hermanos mayores y sus queridos hijos.

A mi padre le gustaba conducir. Condujo a través del país con su familia desde California hasta Virginia utilizando un mapa físico. Le encantaba la historia, las películas del oeste y el helado de vainilla. Era un magnífico orador, profesor, mentor y padre. Echaremos de menos su brillante sonrisa y sus chistes chiflados.

Gracias a todos por vuestro apoyo, palabras de ánimo, oraciones y donativos. Estamos muy agradecidos por el amor que ha recibido de la comunidad. Es hermoso ver cómo la gente se une y lamenta conmigo y con mi familia.
