Hello! I'm Felicia Doherty, the lucky granddaughter of one of the most interesting, colorful, insightful humans ever to have walked the Earth. Yes, I may be biased, but I'm also sure if you're reading this that you have a story to tell about her. Whether she was your family member, spiritual guide, numerologist, friend, customer, or just some random person whom fate placed into your life - we all share appreciation for this inspirational woman.

Nature was always an important part of Joni's life. She instilled in me the importance of preservation and appreciation of the natural world, and in particular our state parks. She took us to "church" in Brown County State Park. Maybe she talked you into taking a hike in the church, too! I'm sure she covered hundreds of miles in her lifetime honing that appreciation for Mother Nature.

We've said goodbye to her Earthside body, but in thinking of that "mind-body-heart-soul" connection she emphasized we all find, wanted to find a way to honor and remember her and her life. What better way to memorialize her than a bench in Brown County State Park? We would all love to have a place to go where we can rest and enjoy nature, or contemplate that connection.

The funds will cover the cost of the bench, plaque, and shipping to the state park. I will post updates, and if we're successful, the location of the lifelong memorial so that we can all enjoy it and what it represents to each of us!
