South City lost a great friend on Friday, August 29th. His family is grieving and unable to put together a memorial, so I along with others are putting one together at my studio on Tuesday, October 7th above Moshmellow on Cherokee (time tbd).

We would like to raise money to bring some of his friends from afar to come and celebrate the life of Jon Ellison, a passionate musician and singer with a *gorgeous* voice, a hilarious dude who would cut through the crap and see right through you with a smile. A long time bartender at Mangia, barfly at CBGBs, avid karaoke goer, animal lover, loving dog dad, and friend and acquaintance to many, Jon will leave a ripple across St. Louis.

Please donate to support bringing his friends home to help remember him, and any minor, memorial costs (refreshments memorial cards). I will see to it that anything not spent will go directly to his grieving family.
