Hi everyone, my name is Jon, and I was John's close friend and roommate for four years. On behalf of all of John Rockford's closest friends, I am putting together this GoFundMe to host a memorial event that would be fitting of John's memory at his favorite concert venue, Starland Ballroom. The funds would go towards renting space and facilitating a celebration of life with light refreshment and coffee, John's favorite beverage, served at Starland Ballroom on November 9th, from 9:30-12:30. Any funds that are left over after paying expenses would go towards John's favorite charity that he was a hands on volunteer with, Rescue Ridge; a cat and dog animal welfare organization. Funds are needed for the 9th, but if any further donations are made, they will all be contributed to Rescue Ridge.
