Celebrate Joan's Life: Help with Funeral Expenses

It's with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Mom and Grammy on October 14th after 82 years of life. Joan leaves behind a legacy of love with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She devoted her life to raising her own family and extended her love, strength, and compassion beyond our family as well, as she opened her heart and home as a foster mom, providing care and love to children in need.

Joan's home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and the delicious smells of one of her home-cooked meals or baked goods. She loved spending time with family, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories that will forever live in our hearts. Joan never met a stranger she couldn't make a friend, often spending hours talking in grocery stores, restaurants, and parks. Anyone was welcome in her home anytime they wanted to stop by, and they'd often be greeted with a hug and a plate of food.

Joan spent the last few years of her wonderful life in a nursing home, getting loved on by family and staff. Last month, we got the devastating news that she had cancer, a diagnosis we never saw coming. Due to the cost of the home, medical bills, and making sure she had everything she could ever need to be comfortable, the family has been left short on funds for funeral services.

As we navigate this incredibly challenging time, we are asking for support to help cover the costs of her funeral services. We want to be able to give her the farewell she deserves—a beautiful celebration of the life she lived and the love and strength she shared with so many.
