Ohio Epsilon’s home, the James Gamble Nippert Memorial Lodge, was donated by Judge Alfred K. Nippert and his wife, Maud following Jimmy’s death on Christmas Day, 1923 from an injury sustained during a football game against Miami. Ground was broken on Founders Day, 1924, the cornerstone was laid September 27, 1924, and Brothers moved in March of 1925.
100 years later, the Lodge has been home to thousands of brothers, dwelling together in “a pleasant unity” and creating lifelong memories. It has been faithfully maintained and cared for by active chapter and dedicated alumni, continuing to be the centerpiece of ‘Greek Row’ on Clifton Avenue.
Our primary goal for the 100th Anniversary is alumni engagement and perpetuating admiration for our Lodge. Therefore, we wish to ease barriers to participation from all eras of brothers. Given that mission in mind, sponsorships and donor support will be critical in helping us cover projected overhead expenses and making the celebration truly memorable for all brothers of Ohio Epsilon.
Those who donate more than $2,024 will receive a one-of-a-kind Jimmy Nippert Rookwood Pottery mug, and all donations will accrue towards lifetime giving for Ohio Epsilon and recognition on the donor wall in the Alumni Room!

Please note that donations made in support of the 100th Anniversary celebrations are not tax deductible and will not be recognized for lifetime giving through SAE Foundation. If you wish to make a tax-deductible gift to the Chapter Allocation Fund of Ohio Epsilon, please reach out to Aaron Pontsler via the contact button below.
