Celebrate Jason Scott’s 30 yrs in Youth Ministry!
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family of Jason Scott,
As many of you have heard, Jason has transitioned from his position as Youth Director at Roswell UMC to Director of Discipleship. That means for the first time in 30 years, Jason won’t be serving as a youth pastor at a local church. Wow! 30 years!
I know many of you have been blessed to have Jason serve at your church over the past 3 decades. I know if you had the chance, you’d want to say thanks and honor him in some way for his commitment and his service. And that’s why I’m writing you.
I’ve been one of Jason’s best friends since we were in grade school. We met, ironically, at our church’s youth group in Alexander City, AL. Jason has said many times that he honestly wouldn't know where he would be right now if it wasn’t for the church and the youth group during that time in his life.
I’m reaching out to many of his friends, family, former students, former youth families and more to ask for your help in honoring both Jason and Jennifer for 30 years of service to the Lord and the local church. I’ve started a GoFundMe in hopes to raise enough money to give Jason and Jennifer a life-changing gift for all the life-changing they’ve done for all of us.
The Scotts have had a dream of being able to travel around to see the US in a travel trailer and a truck. They’d also like to visit their children in Birmingham and Nashville on a regular basis. I’m hoping to raise $30,000 to honor their 30 years of service. This may not be enough to buy the truck and the trailer. But it sure would go a long way in helping make that dream a reality.
Any size gift is greatly appreciated. Feel free to share the link with others who may want to join in and help us help the Scotts. You can also leave a note on the GoFundMe congratulating them and letting them hear from you.
This is a special year for Jason (and Jennifer.) Not only does he turn 50 in September, but he and Jennifer will celebrate 25 years of marriage in September, as well.
I hope that you will consider joining in with us. But please, don’t tell Jason or Jennifer anything about this. I really want to keep this a surprise until we give it to them. I know they will be overwhelmed by the love and generosity of all their friends, family and former church families.
If you have any questions or any problems making a donation, please contact me. Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
