Celebrate Huey's Life and Support His Family

Steve “Huey” Harrah was a talented fabricator with an infectious laugh and an ornery sparkle in his eye. In May of 2023, what our family dubbed as “the event” occurred- Huey went into respiratory failure and ended up coding. After being revived, family was aware that chances were slim of him recovering, but him being the hard-headed Harrah that he is, proved all of the doctors wrong. He came out of that situation with minimal deficits. During that hospital stay, it was discovered that he had lung cancer. He faced the diagnosis bravely and head on. In September of 2024, he was declared cancer free, that would be short-lived though. In October of 2024 it was soon discovered that he had a mass in his brain and by December it appeared that his lung cancer had relapsed. He made the brave decision to go on hospice the day after Christmas and went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2025, just 7 days after his 55th birthday. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

This GoFundMe has been set up to help offset the costs of his cremation and Celebration of Life as he did not have life insurance. It will also be used to help family in this time of need. Your thoughts, prayers, and support are very much appreciated during this time.
