This GoFundMe is in honor of raising funds for Howard "Howie" Brought's celebration of life that will take place sometime this summer or early fall.

Howie went in for a routine chest x-ray, and they discovered a 5 cm mass on his kidney. He then had a biopsy done, and it was discovered that he had kidney cancer. They gave him the option to wait and see if the mass would grow or to remove his kidney. Howie wanted to fight the cancer head-on and elected to get his kidney removed. Sadly, there were complications from the surgery, which resulted in him gaining his wings and joining the rest of the angels in heaven. This was an extremely unexpected and heartbreaking loss, so we are asking for donations to help fund a celebration of life get-together in lieu of a viewing because we know Howie would have wanted us to celebrate the joy that he brought to everyone while he was still here with us.

Howie was the kind of guy who enjoyed doing a lot of things such as exploring nature/waterfalls, going to the races, mini golfing, driving truck, drinking his favorite beer (Miller Lite), camping, visiting friends and family, and overall watching people he loved succeed in life. Howie always enjoyed making people smile/laugh; he was always there for anybody who needed a shoulder to lean on.

Howie will definitely be missed by many people and is watching over everybody!
